Terroir

Nuits-Saint-Georges A.O.C. wines are produced on delimited terroirs in the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Premeaux-Prissey. The soils, of Jurassic formation, are essentially clay and limestone.

Service
15 à 16°C. Le débouchage préalable, une ou deux heures avant est conseillé. Pour les vins restés jeunes, le passage en carafe procure une bonne oxygénation et améliore la dégustation.

Vinification

After the manual harvest, the grapes are placed, between 2 and 4 days, in stainless steel tanks for pre-fermentation maceration. Then, the alcoholic fermentation is started thanks to the use of only the vats. The malolactic fermentation and the ageing are carried out in oak barrels for 8 to 12 months.

Tasting notes

Shallow robe, typical of the Burgundy Pinot. Very fine nose rather floral, evolving on charming red fruit notes. The palate is fine and fresh, with an acidic structure superbly married to the tannins. In the finish, the palate is full with red and black fruit aromas.

Food & wine pairing

The power and structure of this wine allow it to go well with red wine sauces, marinated or roasted game, strong, grilled or roasted red meats and medium-flavoured cheeses.
